About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of civil litigation matters
- Advise clients in civil disputes with another party
- Draft letters before action
- Draft and file different types of claims
- Instruct barristers/advocates on behalf of clients involved in litigated matters
- Manage cases from commencement through to conclusion
- Advise clients on legal merits, potential outcomes, and next steps
- Participate in introductory, hiring-manager, technical, and values interviews
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ PQE as a solicitor
- Hands-on experience in Civil Dispute/Litigation matters
- Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume caseload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Empathy and patience when dealing with questions
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Highly motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in AI and how it can be used to improve the legal system (desirable)
- Prior experience working in a technology company or start-up (desirable)
- Must address UK work visa sponsorship requirements
