About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform startup, commissioning, service, and preventive maintenance on static transfer switches, power distribution equipment, and remote power panels
Provide customer support on site and via email and phone
Maintain timely and detailed service records in the LayerZero system
Provide emergency response for critical incidents through LayerZero 24/7 incident response
Attend training at LayerZero Headquarters in Aurora, Ohio
Perform field service work at customer sites throughout the US and Canada

Requirements

What you’ll need

Service experience with electric power systems – Required
Electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills – Required
Ability to read diagrams and schematics – Required
Familiarity with programming printed circuit boards via PC based programs – Required
Safety awareness and electrical PPE knowledge – Required
Clean driving record – Required
Electronics or electrical training from military service – Preferred
Associate degree in electrical field – Preferred
Military training in electronics or electrical systems
Travel is required
Ability to work weekends or holidays when required
