About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare presentation materials and pitches for prospective clients
  • Lead due diligence on private equity portfolios, evaluating underlying asset performance and NAV trends for GP-led secondary transactions
  • Construct and review secondary-specific financial models, including cash flow projections, fund-level waterfall models, returns analysis and valuation analysis
  • Manage detailed marketing materials, including CIMs, investor presentations, teasers and investor communications
  • Run investor outreach on live transactions and track investor interactions, demand and pricing feedback
  • Oversee the virtual data room and coordinate responses to complex investor due diligence requests
  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for clients, counsel and counterparties from transaction launch through closing
  • Communicate with institutional investor coverage professionals and Lazard M&A and financial sponsor coverage teams
  • Supervise, review and mentor analysts while ensuring accuracy and quality of work product

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least two years of investment banking (M&A or GP-led secondary advisory preferred), private equity or secondary investing experience
  • Proven ability through multiple similar assignments to work on complex transactions
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Ability to build, review and stress-test complex fund- and asset-level models independently
  • Strong baseline technical skillset; additional training provided by PCA
  • Demonstrated academic excellence
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Judgment to review and quality-check junior colleagues’ work
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment valuing initiative, creativity and maturity
  • Team-player mindset and ability to take ownership of discrete workstreams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate credibly with deal teams, institutional investors and external clients
  • Proven ability to manage multiple live transaction processes and competing priorities simultaneously
