About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement advocacy initiatives in key markets, particularly focused on Medicaid programs
- Partner with local leadership to integrate advocacy priorities into broader business strategy and objectives
- Track and report on legislation and regulations affecting access to care
- Build and sustain relationships with legislators, regulators, payors, and industry partners
- Represent LEARN at forums, conferences, and events
- Keep executive management informed on developments impacting the organization
- Partner with Payor Relations and RCM teams on reimbursement-related issues
- Liaise with key industry groups
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in advocacy, government relations, public policy, or a closely related field
- Preference for individuals with direct experience in the field of ABA
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable advocacy strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Track record of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Willingness to travel to represent LEARN in key markets and forums
- Candidates must be presently eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate expressively and receptively, verbally and in writing
- Ability to recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong
