About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Handle administrative and judicial proceedings focused on Regulatory Law and Administrative Law.
- Draft petitions, defenses, appeals, submissions, legal opinions, and other medium- and high-complexity legal documents.
- Act in administrative proceedings before government agencies, public authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct meetings with public officials, perform due diligence, and follow up with government agencies to advance proceedings and clarify requests.
- Participate in hearings, oral arguments, and strategic meetings as needed.
- Define and implement litigation strategies aligned with clients’ needs.
- Monitor and update internal case-management systems and clients’ legal platforms.
- Maintain close relationships with clients by participating in meetings, alignment discussions, and results presentations.
- Manage and prioritize matters, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables meet quality standards.
- Prepare management and operational reports to monitor key performance indicators and support decision-making.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law and active bar membership.
- Solid experience in Administrative Law and/or Regulatory Law.
- Experience handling administrative and judicial proceedings.
- Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure.
- Experience working before government agencies, public authorities, and regulatory bodies, including conducting meetings with public officials and performing due diligence.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and administrative procedures.
- Experience with internal and client case-tracking systems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs and Sheets).
- Strong communication, organizational, deadline-management, and client relationship skills, as well as the ability to lead meetings.
- Intermediate English is a plus.
- Postgraduate degree in Civil Procedure is a plus.
- Postgraduate degree in Administrative Law and/or Regulatory Law is a plus.
- Familiarity with government agency and public authority systems (municipal governments, PROCON, ANTT, AGU, among others) is a plus.
- Previous experience in regulated industries is a plus.
