About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Practice in labor and employment law across all stages of proceedings
  • Draft defenses, appeals, and other pleadings inherent to legal practice, such as Ordinary Appeals, Review Appeals, challenges to calculations, motions to stay or contest enforcement, interlocutory appeals in enforcement proceedings, and writs of mandamus
  • Monitor procedural developments and enter information into the internal/client system
  • Review hearing schedules, attend hearing preparation meetings, request documents and supporting information, request payments, and manage deadlines
  • Conduct hearings and deliver oral arguments
  • Develop litigation strategies and analyze information and documents to manage proceedings
  • Critically review judgments and appellate decisions and prepare appeals
  • Mediation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Postgraduate qualification in labor and employment law preferred
  • Knowledge of labor law, labor procedure, and civil procedure required
  • Experience in labor and employment advisory work as well as high-volume litigation
