About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Distribute and monitor the team’s caseload, deadlines, and absence coverage.
- Select, train, and evaluate local correspondent attorneys, providing each partner with a tailored manual and assessing performance based on the quality of minutes submitted.
- Conduct sample-based quality reviews of hearing minutes, identify recurring failure patterns, and provide feedback to the correspondent attorney.
- Implement the settlement policy within the authorized approval limits and escalate matters exceeding those limits.
- Classify risk and provisions, and support the classification with the client’s accountant and during audits.
- Support the partners in preparing the monthly calculation report that serves as the basis for billing.
- Prepare contracted management reports under supervision and as part of ongoing development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client’s in-house legal department and its four business units: Facilities, Engineering, Security, and Corporate.
- Take responsibility for strategic cases and high-exposure enforcement proceedings.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).
- Experience in employment litigation, with a people-management and operational profile.
- Proven experience managing correspondent attorneys or partner networks.
- Experience managing deadlines and KPIs for high-volume caseloads.
- Experience managing settlement policies within defined approval limits.
- Experience with risk classification, provisions, and contingencies.
- Previous experience migrating or implementing a legal caseload.
- Experience with legal analytics (jurimetrics) and interpreting KPIs to support decision-making.
- Experience with class actions, public civil actions, and claims brought by the Brazilian Labor Prosecution Office (MPT).
- Experience with or strong familiarity with artificial intelligence tools applied to legal operations, including the ability to identify automation opportunities, optimize workflows, and guide the team in the responsible use of technology.
