About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide general administration for the People and Culture team
- Keep the People system accurately updated, conduct DBS checks, issue employment lifecycle documents and monitor People email inboxes
- Audit People systems, eligibility to work, training and skills matrices
- Coordinate People and Culture events, including training sessions, meetings and celebrations
- Collect and provide monthly MI reporting data on recruitment, performance, attrition and absence
- Respond to internal and external People-related inquiries and requests
- Support colleague lifecycle processes, including new starter inductions, exit interviews and training coordination
- Support engagement calendar activities
- Participate in People projects, procedures, guidelines and other activities
- Manage the payroll cycle and payroll checks in the absence of the Pay and Benefits Coordinator
- Maintain accurate colleague records and People systems
- Ensure contracts, employment documents, DBS checks and right-to-work checks are completed on time
- Administer new starters, leavers and other colleague lifecycle changes
- Provide accurate monthly People MI by reporting deadlines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Proactive team player; able to work under own autonomy and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy
- Self-motivated, can-do attitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and technical skills
- CIPD Qualified or interest in undertaking qualifications
- Strong administration skills
- Desirable: Experience working in a People/HR team
