About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join LegalVision’s Leasing and Franchising practice group on a two-year fixed-term contract
  • Assist landlord and tenant clients with lease reviews and advice
  • Advise on property elements of business purchases and lease surrenders
  • Draft leases, subleases, licences, deposit deeds, side letters and other ancillary documents
  • Draft and advise on master franchise documents and grants to franchisees
  • Review and advise on franchise agreements
  • Provide oral and written legal advice across a broad range of matters
  • Deliver commercial, pragmatic legal advice using cutting-edge technology
  • Contribute to LegalVision’s online library of informative articles and publications
  • Work under the supervision of Practice Leaders and Senior Associates
  • Develop technical legal knowledge, matter management and client service skills to meet Qualifying Work Experience requirements
  • Participate in phone screening and an in-person interview at the Ancoats office if shortlisted

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • SQE qualification pathway candidate
  • At a minimum, successfully completed the SQE1 assessment or equivalent
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to grow as a solicitor in an innovative environment
  • Focus on client experience and exceeding client expectations
  • Personable, empathetic and resilient
  • Organised and efficient, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
