About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete two 18-month rotations at different Legrand locations and within different divisions
- Work in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Firmware Engineering
- Set up and execute tests verifying product functionality, safety, and compliance
- Analyze and document test data and summarize findings
- Troubleshoot product issues and recommend solutions
- Support continuous improvement of test procedures and equipment
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and prototype new products
- Create and update technical documentation, including CAD models, schematics, or source code
- Participate in design reviews and validation builds
- Track engineering change requests
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones using project management tools
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings and prepare status updates
- Document project risks, issues, and lessons learned
- Present progress and results to rotation leaders and program sponsors
- Engage in technical training, professional development sessions, mentorship meetings, and networking events
- Prepare and deliver end-of-rotation presentations
- Seek opportunities to improve processes, products, and team collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Computer, or related discipline)
- Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus, but not required
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills to multiple audiences
- Strong presentation skills, including creating content and delivering messages
- Ability to utilize individual and team strengths to get things done
- Willingness and ability to work across organizational boundaries
- Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct in-depth research, identify trends, and summarize information
- Must be mobile to move to any location within the US
- Must possess permanent US work authorization; employment visa sponsorship is not provided
