About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze computer-based technologies and address complex engineering issues for customers and business partners
  • Configure IPs and custom customer configurations, including DHCP, LDAP, and authorization/authentication requirements
  • Develop custom deployment scripts using shell script, Python, APIs, and Ansible
  • Analyze product data and firmware versions and apply onsite fixes aligned with network security vulnerability standards
  • Develop Access Products test routines for customers and developers
  • Interpret diagnostic information and log files to identify failures
  • Apply firmware/software upgrades and bug fixes
  • Use network debugging tools to identify and fix deployment failures
  • Work with developers and network support staff on IP designs causing access product failures
  • Support customer IP and naming schemes and create custom scripts
  • Coordinate cross-functional deployment project teams
  • Act as the single point of contact for enterprise account support requirements
  • Build relationships with customer technical staff and management
  • Develop customer strategic plans and identify growth opportunities
  • Deliver customer technical services and manage escalations with Product Management and Professional Services
  • Oversee open support cases through resolution
  • Develop and train team members
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize customer requirements and align product direction with customer roadmaps
  • Maintain technology and product standards and best practices
  • Coordinate support activities among customers, support teams, product management, and account teams
  • Conduct regular check-in calls and quarterly customer health checks
  • Track customer status, time spent, and resource allocation
  • Travel up to 30–40% of the time; support cases while not traveling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering, Network Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a customer-facing environment, such as enterprise customer support and technical consulting
  • Basic technical knowledge of data center facilities components
  • Knowledge of data center IT components and interconnections, including servers, blade chassis, network switches, and rack PDUs
  • Knowledge of data center networks and protocols, including IP subnetting/VLANs and SNMP
  • Solid Linux user/admin capability
  • Solid networking knowledge, including configuration, integration, and diagnostics, with a focus on TCP/IP and HTTP(S)
  • Familiarity with SSH, HTTPS, TELNET, Console Server, and KVM
  • Familiarity with firewall, NAT, authentication, and authorization
  • SNMP knowledge, including MIB browsers, MIB sets, MIB gets, SNMP walks, and SNMP traps
  • Familiarity with hypervisor technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, and Proxmox
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and management clients
  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing client demands, priorities, commitments, and projects
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and determine the appropriate path to resolution
  • Customer service attitude with business development and customer relationship management experience
  • Ability to facilitate cross-team collaboration in person and virtually
  • Strong analytical skills regarding technical and project management issues
  • Ability and willingness to travel
