About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain existing HRIS tools through data conversion, business process design, configuration, testing, reporting, training, and ongoing system development.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, Payroll/Finance, Benefits, Compensation, and IT.
  • Participate in or lead transformative projects, including acquisitions of new companies and coordination with foreign subsidiaries on reporting and data integrity.
  • Support HRIS systems by researching and resolving problems, unexpected results, and process flaws.
  • Assist HR and end users with systems issues and recommend solutions or alternate methods.
  • Write, maintain, support, and analyze reports and queries using appropriate reporting tools.
  • Run queries and analyze data to maintain system data integrity.
  • Assess business processes and recommend efficiencies, automation, enhancements, and configurations.
  • Create and sustain data management procedures and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with professional standards and state and federal recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for system changes and partner with departments on execution.
  • Monitor the HRIS Support Desk, route tickets, respond to customers, and resolve issues.
  • Provide customer service to associates, managers, payroll processors, and HR Business Partners.
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Train users on new processes and functionality.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2-4 years of experience supporting HR technology, HRIS, systems analysis, or related HR operations.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with a major enterprise HCM platform such as Oracle HCM or Dayforce; experience across multiple HR domains is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Payroll system setup including GL configuration, pay policies and time sheet setup.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or similar programming languages, including the ability to write and interpret queries for data validation, reporting, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Basic familiarity with AI-enabled technology and responsible use, data privacy, and human oversight.
  • Experience with reporting or query tools and project or work-management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations relating to data management, including privacy, data transfer, and retention.
  • In-depth understanding of employee life cycles and HR internal processes.
  • Ability to assess complex issues, identify root causes, evaluate impacts, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of HCM configuration, data, reporting, integrations, testing, security, and production support.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and build partnerships across HR, Payroll, IT, vendors, and business teams.
  • Ability to organize complex work, manage priorities and risks, and help lead enhancements.
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential employee information and applying privacy, security, and governance standards.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools, write clear prompts, evaluate outputs for accuracy and bias, protect confidential data, and apply human judgment.
  • Ability to evaluate existing practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
