About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as financial liaison supporting Finance with Marketing and Sales organizations and Legrand Headquarters in France
- Lead a North America-wide team developing systems and databases to improve sales financial models and reporting
- Identify key system requirements across multiple divisions and functions
- Analyze financial performance trends and variances
- Develop reporting systems and document related procedures
- Assist with training and implementation for key stakeholders across LNCA functions
- Lead ongoing financial support and maintain system integrity after go-live
- Perform monthly financial variance analysis
- Perform ad-hoc project analysis supporting the LHI finance function
- Assist with onboarding new acquisitions
- Deliver key reports to Legrand France and the LNCA Executive Team, including earnings-call support, executive presentations, and ad-hoc analysis
- Conduct industry economic and competitor research and analysis
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting and support functional cost center leaders
- Oversee creation and completion of annual budgets
- Perform month-end financial close activities, including journal entries, consolidation reports, account reconciliations, and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related subject matter combined with experience
- 7+ years of relevant Finance experience
- Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to work with large datasets
- Ability to identify trends, proactively recommend solutions, and analyze/structure large data
- Exceptional computer skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Passion for Financial IT Projects and a continuous improvement mindset
- Company-specific accounting and finance software and systems knowledge, including BI, Planful, and Tagetik, is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to audit work, identify issues, and implement error-prevention processes
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate system requirements to IT professionals is a plus
- Ability to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence
- Effective listening skills and ability to validate understanding
- Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of multiple functional business areas
- Ability to travel as business needs require
- Role is Hybrid and the office is located in West Hartford, CT
