About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify optimal technical solutions for business issues and processes
- Ensure seamless integration with business and technology systems
- Prepare work plans for analysis and testing of system upgrades, modifications and enhancements
- Configure, implement and maintain technical requirements across development, staging and production environments
- Evaluate work processes and assess feasibility of small to medium project requests
- Resolve operational issues
- Develop specifications and supporting documentation
- Plan, develop and execute comprehensive test scenarios
- Assist in developing technology standards
- Estimate resources required for task completion
- Complete assigned tasks by due dates and document variances
- Communicate variances promptly to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year EHR application build, implementation and support experience
- 4 years progressive experience in information services or a combination of information services and direct health care experience
- Experience with small to medium-scale implementations/upgrades
- Test plan development experience
- Information technology experience and/or healthcare operations experience
- Project management of large initiatives
- Implementation/upgrade support experience
- Applications planning, development and implementation experience
- Technical collaboration involving interfaces, hardware and reporting
- Epic Systems certification upon hire
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting/standing and keyboard use
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, or related field preferred
- Preferred: 2 years of direct applications build on current software version or 3 years progressive experience in Information Services or a combination of Information Services and direct Health Care experience
