About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather and analyze patient information, including review of history
  • Prepare and calibrate testing equipment
  • Communicate testing procedures to patients
  • Perform bio-calibrations and impedance testing
  • Assist in polysomnographic record scoring and reporting
  • Provide sleep equipment hook-up and ensure appropriate data acquisition
  • Maintain continuous visual and auditory monitoring of patients and clinical events
  • Implement interventions to eliminate artifact on records
  • Provide treatment modalities according to department protocol
  • Document observations and pertinent clinical information in medical records
  • Perform post-test procedures, including cleaning, sterilization, and equipment maintenance
  • Perform duties under general supervision of the Clinical Team Lead, Clinical Manager, Medical Director, or designee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent patient care
  • Demonstrates computer skills appropriate for the position
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association within 90 Days
  • RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographer Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 3 Years
  • DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • May be required to kneel, bend, squat, and perform CPR
  • Technical School Diploma preferred
  • 1 year successful completion of college level math and science coursework preferred
  • 1 year relative work in the health care industry preferred
  • Knowledge/experience with EPIC system preferred
  • Knowledge of procedures and equipment routinely used in sleep testing preferred
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform sleep equipment hook-up and monitoring preferred
