About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Gather and analyze patient information, including history review
  • Prepare and calibrate testing equipment
  • Explain testing procedures to patients
  • Perform bio-calibrations and impedance testing
  • Assist with polysomnographic record scoring and reporting
  • Hook up sleep equipment and ensure appropriate data acquisition
  • Continuously monitor patients and clinical events visually and audibly
  • Implement interventions to eliminate recording artifacts
  • Provide treatment modalities according to department protocol
  • Accurately document observations and clinical information in medical records
  • Perform post-test cleaning, sterilization, and equipment maintenance
  • Work under the general supervision of the Clinical Team Lead, Clinical Manager, Medical Director, or designee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent patient care
  • Demonstrates computer skills appropriate for the position
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association within 90 Days
  • RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographer Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists within 3 Years
  • DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking; patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
  • May be required to kneel, bend, squat, and perform CPR
  • Preferred: Technical School Diploma
  • Preferred: 1 year successful completion of college-level math and science coursework
  • Preferred: 1 year related work in the health care industry
  • Preferred: Knowledge/experience with EPIC system
  • Preferred: Knowledge of procedures and equipment used in sleep testing
  • Preferred: Knowledge of and ability to perform sleep equipment hook-up and monitoring
