About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform high-quality routine and complex neurodiagnostic procedures under minimal supervision
  • Obtain accurate patient measurements and apply electrodes
  • Produce precise recordings and adjust equipment and testing procedures according to patient needs and clinical physiology
  • Prepare patients for testing according to policy and procedure
  • Enable physicians to properly interpret studies
  • Cross-cover sites and assigned shifts as needed
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation
  • Perform clerical tasks
  • Adhere to policies and procedures and participate in mandatory programs
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, fellow employees, hospital staff, and the public
  • Perform other assigned duties and goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s Degree OR successful completion of a Neurodiagnostic School Program OR Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP)
  • 3 years experience neurodiagnostic testing
  • Ability to problem solve using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles
  • Detail oriented with efficient computer skills
  • R-EEGT - Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist - State of Pennsylvania upon hire
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 days
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs.
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • May be required to kneel, bend, squat, and perform CPR
