  • Participates in evidence-based practice and research projects as applicable
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, staff, and professional colleagues
  • Coordinates and provides patient and family education throughout treatment
  • Functions as a department team member supporting unit and hospital goals
  • Participates in performance improvement and patient experience initiatives
  • Performs validated technical skills based on clinical specialty and unit practice
  • Uses technology to optimize alternative modes of care delivery
  • Teaches and mentors new colleagues and department interns; performs additional precepting as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of accredited Nursing program
  • Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
  • Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
  • Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
  • Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
  • Basic computer skills
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA (American Heart Association) upon hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse, State of Pennsylvania, upon hire
  • 2 years relevant RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
  • Stroke certification
  • Completion of a dysrhythmia course
  • Completed trauma course or TNCC
  • Ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • Ability to perform role-specific activities including kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Travel experience highly preferred
