About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own internal security for LemFi across laptops, accounts, inboxes and internal tools
Report directly to the CTO
Build endpoint protection using EDR, device management, hardening and patching
Manage company-wide identity and access, including SSO, MFA, privileged access, joiner/leaver flows and access reviews
Secure email, collaboration platforms and SaaS tools, including phishing defence
Develop and tune detections and conduct threat hunting across endpoint, identity and internal systems
Lead incident response from initial alert through forensics, root-cause analysis and remediation
Turn threat intelligence on attackers targeting fintech employees and payment corridors into detections and controls
Automate triage, response and access management using AI and ML where useful
Build the security playbook for a small team rather than follow an existing one

Requirements

What you’ll need

At least 5 years of hands-on security work across incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence or security engineering
Recent security work built and shipped independently
Hands-on experience running endpoint protection or EDR at scale across Windows and macOS
Strong identity and access management experience with directories, SSO and MFA, such as Entra ID, Okta or Google Workspace
Experience leading real incidents end to end, including forensic investigation on endpoints
Experience writing SIEM detections that caught real activity and reducing false positives
Proficiency in Python or Go sufficient to build tooling and automate work
Practical use of AI or ML in security work, with validation of its output
Right to work in the location of application
Nice to have: banking, payments or regulated financial environment experience; EDR, MDM or email security rollout experience; network security or AWS cloud security experience; purple team exercises mapped to MITRE ATT&CK; knowledge of African, LATAM or Asian payments threat landscapes
