About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate key insights from data using analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Use data and modelling to ground assumptions for the NPV model, including predicting future default rates
  • Use data and analytics to decide who to lend to and how much to lend, accounting for economic and competitive changes
  • Conduct hypothesis testing to improve lending strategy, pricing, and fraud detection
  • Present findings to senior leaders
  • Work with product and technology teams to implement findings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have coding skills in Python or SQL
  • Ability to work with complex data sets, analyse them, and draw insights
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Natural curiosity and willingness to investigate how things work
  • Startup mindset and enthusiasm for an entrepreneurial environment
  • Must work in the office three days per week
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Available for the whole internship period from 29th June to 7th September 2027
  • Will be graduating in 2028
  • Confidence coding in Python or SQL
  • University education and degree information required in the application
