About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and integrate new APIs to improve the customer journey
- Optimise Lendable's lending platforms
- Participate in architectural discussions and shape future products
- Work across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform engineering disciplines
- Develop and maintain technology for loans, credit cards, and car finance products
- Contribute to projects using data sources, machine learning, and AI
Requirements
What you’ll need- Modern PHP development experience; PHP 8.0+ is required
- Strong understanding of current PHP features and best practices
- Solid grasp of Symfony or Laravel
- Experience with Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and financial systems is a bonus
- Excellent automated testing skills, including unit, integration, and functional testing
- High degree of ownership and autonomy
- Experience in a cross-functional environment is a plus, but not essential
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute ideas within a highly collaborative team
