About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

About 50% hands-on development
Work with the manager, other engineering managers, service owners, and champions from various teams to understand their pain points and prioritize team tasks
Lead a team of engineers with a computer science background; keep their vision focused and aligned with management; teach effective project leadership; collect feedback; and provide good service to company engineers
Build decentralized ecosystems that are easy to contribute to with vibe coding, including Backstage, CLI tools, microservice templates, self-service, and Helm chart values
Drive high-impact, multi-team technical initiatives from ideation to delivery by establishing technical standards, defining trackable compliance metrics, and securing buy-in from engineering leaders
Lead Kubernetes initiatives
Manage research of cutting-edge cloud-native technologies
Build and improve internal platform tools for Lendbuzz engineers in Boston and Tel Aviv

Requirements

What you’ll need

Computer Science degree from a leading university
5+ years of software development experience
2+ years of experience developing applications on K8S using HELM/Kustomize/Crossplane/CDK/Other
Understand the concepts of Platform Engineering well
Strong backend development skills in a modern language: Typescript/Python with Asyncio/Go/Rust/Modern C#/Kotlin
Proficiency with Claude/Codex, including writing skills, system prompts, and delivering features across multiple repos
Preferred: Production experience running services on Kubernetes
Preferred: Proven experience writing design documents, presenting them to engineering leaders, and answering hard technical questions in fluent English
Preferred: Experience writing and maintaining internal tools with an impact on developer experience such as Backstage/Port, internal CLI tools/Microservice templates/infra-related libraries, agentic flows/AI skills
Preferred: Experience working with open source K8S charts such as Keycloak, Debezium, Airflow, Temporal, a feature flag system, or LangSmith
