About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently design, lead, and execute compliance testing reviews
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness across consumer compliance risks
- Identify control gaps and recommend practical enhancements
- Support development and use of data analytics and monitoring capabilities
- Prepare testing reports and workpapers communicating findings, issues, recommendations, and results
- Document, track, and monitor compliance issues through resolution
- Partner with business stakeholders and Compliance Advisory
- Share key risks, trends, and testing outcomes with stakeholders and senior leadership
- Assess and document business processes, risks, and controls
- Coordinate testing activities and review work performed by other testers
- Contribute to ECO initiatives, internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and strategic projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in banking or financial services, including direct experience in compliance testing, internal audit, or a related compliance function
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Practical knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations, associated compliance risks, and related controls
- Experience performing compliance testing across regulations such as ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, TISA, FCRA, EFTA, EFAA, and SCRA
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience using SQL to query and analyze data
- Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing regulatory and business needs
- Ability to apply sound judgment regarding regulatory accuracy, confidentiality, data sensitivity, and independent human validation when using AI tools
- Ability to work local hours (PT, MT, ET)
