About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the strategy, architecture, and technical direction for the Windows and Mac end user computing environment
- Serve as the senior technical authority for device management, security, automation, and endpoint modernization
- Act as the top escalation point for complex Windows and Mac issues Helpdesk cannot resolve
- Diagnose and close high-visibility problems and engineer solutions to prevent recurrence
- Administer SCCM, Intune, and JAMF
- Build and deploy application packages and OS images to laptops and desktops globally
- Shape secure, efficient, and cost-effective client management systems and strategy
- Evaluate, test, and roll out new Windows and Mac OS versions
- Build Bash, Python, and PowerShell automation to eliminate repetitive work
- Use AI tools to support scripting, testing, and troubleshooting where appropriate
- Lead technical resources across projects and coordinate with US teammates, vendors, and onshore/offshore partners
- Review junior team members' designs and solutions for technical accuracy
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Evaluate and certify security updates, patches, and service packs before deployment
- Develop integrations with new technologies and architect endpoint configuration and deployment
- Travel to Happen Bank offices and/or other locations as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of experience in end user computing, endpoint engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field
- Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with JAMF, Active Directory, SCCM, and Intune
- Ownership of problems through resolution and sound technical judgment
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage competing priorities
- Deep hands-on expertise with CIS/NIST standards in complex, highly sensitive environments
- Ability to identify and methodically resolve new or unprecedented problems
- Proven ability to establish technical direction and align engineering decisions with company objectives
- Sound judgment using AI and other tools for scripting, troubleshooting, and automation in a regulated environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical solutions and cross-train others
- Experience with Intune for client software deployment, inventory, antivirus, and endpoint security
- JAMF, SCCM, or Intune certification
- Experience with Okta, Entra ID, and identity access management
- Experience with Terraform, AWS EC2, or Kubernetes/EKS
- Network engineering experience, including 802.1x configuration for wired and wireless connections
- Familiarity with configuration profiles and preference files (.plist)
- Experience with Citrix or Amazon Workspaces
- Experience with Bitwarden or a similar corporate credential manager
- Ability to work local hours (PT, MT)
- Flexibility to work across time zones when necessary
- Must be able to attend the office in person; remote placement will not be considered
