About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist Construction Managers with management of job sites and supervision of daily trade partner activities according to job schedules and scopes of work
Walk assigned homes twice a day
Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and building code compliance
Maintain safety logs and assist with regular on-site safety meetings
Assist with records of job changes, including Option Orders and Purchase Orders
Act as secondary approval for trade partner invoices regarding work completion and quality
Maintain a daily log of job site occurrences
Support scheduling and supervision of trade partners
Assist in resolving issues raised by inspectors and trade partners
Collaborate with sales, customer care, and management teams on communication and problem resolution
Provide trade partner feedback to the Construction Manager regarding timeliness and attention to detail
Cross-train in other departments as needed to progress within Construction Management

Requirements

What you’ll need

1-3 years' experience with home building/construction preferred
High school diploma or GED required
College Degree or equivalent education preferred
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Valid auto insurance coverage
Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Regular, in-person attendance at Company communities/job sites and offices during regular work hours
Ability to work more than eight hours per day in the confined quarters of a construction trailer
Ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of 50 pounds
May require occasional operation of construction equipment
