About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Company’s growth through outside sales activities and lead generation
  • Travel at least weekly to communities, realtors’ offices, and other locations to solicit new business and leads from home builders
  • Conduct First Time Homebuyer Seminars to develop leads and build relationships
  • Travel to and participate in builder and realtor functions, status meetings, phase releases, phone banks, and special events
  • Meet with prospective and current customers, explain mortgage offerings, obtain loan applications and required documents, and attend closings
  • Review leads daily and contact prospective customers by telephone and email to arrange in-person or virtual meetings
  • Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the Loan Officer agreement and Products and Policies manual
  • Advise customers on mortgage loan products based on their individual needs
  • Review interest rates and lock loans according to Secondary Marketing Pricing and Rate Lock policies, at least fifteen days before closing
  • Assist New Home Consultants with customer pre-qualifications and provide loan status updates
  • Meet or exceed closed loan capture rates, spot loan objectives, and other established sales goals
  • Maintain reports and notes in the origination computer system regarding prospects, customers, applications, loan status, underwriting, rate locks, projected closings, incentives, and expenses

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Four-year college degree (preferred)
  • At least three years of Loan Originating experience
  • Ability to maintain flexible work schedule, including evening and weekend work
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • NMLS License required, or willing to obtain
  • Ability to attend regular in-person work at Company communities/job sites and offices
  • Ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined construction trailers
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to read plans
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment in excess of 50 pounds
  • Occasional operation of construction equipment may be required
  • Finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and calculator may be required
