About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, test, and maintain backend APIs and services for LMP technology squads
- Implement integrations with internal systems and external partners across the payments ecosystem
- Participate in the technical refinement of initiatives with the Product Owner (PO) and squad team, estimating and detailing deliverables
- Fix and improve production systems by investigating incidents and proposing solutions
- Write database queries and evolve data models to meet product, operational, and reporting needs
- Contribute to monitoring, logging, and alerting for squad services
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's technical quality and standardization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in backend development with Python
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of data modeling fundamentals
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, queues, and managed databases)
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and building system integrations
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing
- Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a squad
- Experience in payment methods, fintech, or financial systems
- Knowledge of serverless and event-driven architecture
- Knowledge of PIX, reconciliation, settlement, or fraud prevention
- Experience with GCP/BigQuery, data pipelines, or low-code tools such as Retool
