About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for corporate tax for the UK legal entity
- Prepare all aspects of the corporate tax compliance cycle and statutory reporting
- Liaise with finance, commercial, business, external advisors and other stakeholders across UK and Italy
- Manage preparation of annual RDEC and Patent Box claims
- Manage preparation of annual transfer pricing reports and documentation
- Maintain group transfer pricing arrangements
- Manage corporate tax returns for overseas branches and Permanent Establishments
- Ensure corporate income tax payments are made on time for all jurisdictions
- Support quarterly and annual corporate tax provisions and input into Hyperion Financial Management
- Draft tax disclosures and notes for group financial statements
- Prepare information for Law 262 internal audits, external audits and Senior Accounting Officer requirements
- Provide corporate tax input to budgeting and forecasting
- Manage information for Pillar Two, Controlled Foreign Companies and Country by Country Reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit requests to tax authorities and assist with responses to queries
- Provide specialist tax advice to other departments, including at bid stage and on projects
- Improve tax data collection using compliance and other software
- Update Tax Team process documentation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fully qualified CTA, CA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience operating within an in-house corporate tax team or accounting firm
- Good knowledge of UK tax rules
- Ideally, some experience in international taxation
- Team player with flexible working style
- Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Experience with SAP/ERP or equivalent advantageous
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively with business partners and stakeholder groups
- Subject to pre-employment screening under the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
- May be subject to National Security Vetting (NSV), including eligibility requirements for SC or DV
