About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy into projects to discover, scope and solve high-value engineering problems using platform tooling
- Collaborate with the AI platform team on architecture and design decisions
- Work with company process owners to change engineering practices
- Build custom applications, workflows and templates supporting engineering products from specifications through implementation
- Support engineering modelling and simulation tooling
- Become an expert user of the tooling, including its opportunities and failure modes
- Upskill IPT engineers and increase team capability
- Work across several programmes each year
- Help turn project-driven process changes into company standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be eligible for full security clearance
- Familiarity with LLMs, SLMs and Agentic AI as a user
- Programming and scripting experience, such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python and Bash
- Product and systems thinking
- Curious, purposeful and proactive approach
- Outcome-oriented and data-driven
- Ability to write documentation usable by others
- Comfortable being measured on adoption by other people
- Ability to enter unfamiliar programmes, quickly earn stakeholder trust and transition out without becoming indispensable
