About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to capture new business opportunities and form commercial partnerships
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across roofing, paving, fencing, and additional services
  • Target new customers and existing customers below the company-defined annual-spend threshold
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategy
  • Lead high-level business proposals and presentations for stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Oversee and refine lead generation and qualification processes with the sales development team
  • Prioritize and convert high-potential leads across multiple service lines
  • Conduct market research and provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership
  • Monitor and report on pipeline health, deal conversion rates, revenue growth, and cross-selling performance
  • Develop and implement sales and go-to-market strategies with the marketing team
  • Lead presentations and pitches to prospective clients and strategic partners
  • Oversee negotiations and deal closures
  • Generate and prepare client proposals
  • Enter and maintain lead information in the CRM or sales tracking system
  • Add new clients to the company database and complete documentation and onboarding steps
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, site visits, and presentations with clients and prospects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with prospects
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or NetSuite and sales prospecting tools
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex products or services to a B2B audience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in an industry related to the company’s target market, such as tech, SaaS, or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of lead generation best practices and tools
  • Experience in account-based marketing (ABM) and sales strategies
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools
  • Ability to work 40 or more hours per week, with additional hours as needed
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to talk or hear, sit and stand for 8 or more hours at a time, and occasionally lift 25–50 lbs.
