About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as one of the senior engineers in a squad of four to five, working with a product manager and designer
Make technical decisions for what the squad ships
Own technical decisions in production
Help other engineers improve through code reviews and guidance
Work across the full stack
Ship features independently when needed
Build and operate systems relied on by real users
Contribute to Lexroom's AI platform for legal work
Develop and maintain frontend, backend, database, vector-store, LLM pipeline, cloud, and CI/CD systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of professional software engineering experience
At least one system owned end to end
Experience shipping and operating systems used by real users
Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
Ability to identify errors in AI coding tools and explain how they were caught
Habit of reviewing other people's code and improving colleagues through reviews
Fluent spoken and written English
Italian is a plus
Ability to work across the full stack
Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies within weeks
Experience with or ability to learn Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Django, Django Ninja, Postgres, vector stores, LLM pipelines, cloud deployment, and GitHub Actions
