About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Travel offsite to customers’ locations to perform maintenance and repair of LG equipment.
Use all required safety equipment (PPE), vehicle, and diagnostic tools provided by LG.
Conduct technical diagnosis and specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.
Diagnose problems, assess the extent of issues, document findings, and decide whether to repair products or replace parts.
Process paperwork and perform data entry immediately and accurately after each job.
Pre-screen next-day service calls by obtaining information to assist diagnosis before arriving at customers’ homes.
Meet or exceed company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rate, revisits, parts management, and overtime percentage.
Represent LG professionally while delivering an exceptional in-home customer experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 1 year experience in a technical role (Appliance repair preferred).
Experience repairing major appliances, including refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products.
Experience using tools and diagnostic test equipment.
Ability to properly troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues.
Valid Driver’s license in good standing.
Ability to obtain appropriate EPA Certification.
Ability to continuously bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work coverage in the North Chicago, IL metro and surrounding areas: Evanston, Deerfield, and North Chicago.
