About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation
  • Qualify marketing-generated and self-sourced leads, converting them into new customers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from first contact through to negotiation and close
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers across Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, Food and Clinical markets
  • Identify opportunities to expand customer spend and introduce additional LGC solutions
  • Use Salesforce and digital sales tools to build pipeline, forecast opportunities and deliver against sales targets
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product and Scientific teams to identify market trends and drive growth initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Physics or another relevant scientific discipline
  • Experience selling laboratory, scientific or technical products
  • A track record of winning new business and achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong business development, prospecting and opportunity qualification skills
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation abilities
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Fluent English skills, with additional European languages highly valued
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 15%)
