About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare, validate, and optimize PCB manufacturing data for SMT production
Create, maintain, and optimize machine programs for Pick & Place, AOI, SPI, and related equipment
Manage and validate Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, BOM, and CPL manufacturing data packages
Analyze PCB design data and ensure DFM and DFA compliance
Coordinate with PCB Design, Production Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
Support NPI activities, prototype builds, and product industrialization
Troubleshoot manufacturing, programming, and assembly issues
Develop and maintain manufacturing engineering databases, libraries, and machine setup documentation
Drive continuous improvement in production planning, manufacturing data quality, process optimization, and automation workflows
Maintain and enhance Siemens Valor and other MES/CAM-related tools
Support capacity planning, production scheduling, and process standardization
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, IPC requirements, and manufacturing best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline)
5-8 years of experience in PCB Manufacturing Industry, SMT Production Planning, PCB Data Preparation, or related functions
Hands-on experience with Siemens Valor Process Preparation, Valor NPI, or similar PCB manufacturing engineering tools
Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes including solder paste printing, SPI, Pick & Place, reflow soldering, and AOI inspection
Knowledge of Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, BOM, Centroid/CPL, and fabrication drawings
Experience creating and optimizing SMT machine programs
Working knowledge of Xpedition, Altium Designer, PADS, OrCAD, or KiCad
Ability to perform DFM and DFA reviews
Familiarity with CAM350, Valor, GerbTool, or equivalent platforms
Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-7351, IPC-2221, IPC-2581, and IPC-6012
Understanding of manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and engineering change management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with global and cross-functional teams
Good organizational and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production timelines
