About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service, maintain, inspect, fault-diagnose, and repair Liebherr STS, RTG, and RMG cranes at customer sites, ports, terminals, and depots
  • Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and mechanical faults
  • Perform diesel engine servicing and repairs
  • Assist with crane assembly, commissioning, repair, dismantling, and refurbishment
  • Manage workload to meet customer expectations, deadlines, and company standards
  • Collaborate with Technical Support teams on complex issues
  • Process warranty and return parts, including cleaning, packaging, labelling, and timely return
  • Read and maintain service documentation and technical information
  • Complete service reports and administration accurately and on time
  • Maintain health, safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping standards
  • Build lasting customer relationships and act as a professional Liebherr ambassador
  • Contribute recommendations to improve efficiency, processes, and service delivery
  • Participate in an out-of-hours support rota when required
  • Undertake other reasonable duties commensurate with the position

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
  • Proven industry experience in an electrical maintenance, service, or engineering role
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience
  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Experience with heavy industrial equipment, cranes, or plant machinery is desirable
  • Ability to work safely at height and in challenging port environments
  • Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours support rota when required
  • Flexibility and customer-focused approach
