About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a field technician across South Australia, with opportunities for regional work
- Maintain and repair wheel loaders, material handlers, excavators and other earthmoving equipment
- Perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis
- Complete major and minor services
- Carry out maintenance and component replacements
- Perform fabrication and new machine builds as required
- Complete service reports
- Expand and maintain customer relationships in the field
- Deal directly with key customers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Trade qualified as Diesel / Mobile Plant Mechanic
- Experienced plant or diesel mechanic
- Ability to work independently and carry out major repairs on earthmoving equipment with minimal assistance
- Ability to diagnose complex faults
- Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work overtime as required
- Ability to fault find
- Current driver’s license
- Forklift, W, T, R and air conditioning ticket advantageous
- Basic Word and Excel abilities
- Commitment to maintain and adhere to workplace safety guidelines
