  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul mobile equipment including crawler cranes and drilling rigs
  • Repair crane components in the yard, shop, or field
  • Test and modify electrical machinery, control equipment, and circuitry
  • Test and modify mechanical machinery and equipment
  • Operate boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate repairs
  • Test repaired or modified equipment for proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
  • Operate and inspect heavy equipment to diagnose defects
  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles
  • Examine parts using micrometers and gauges
  • Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Overhaul and test machines for operating efficiency
  • Diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges
  • Inspect parts for dimensional and clearance compliance with factory specifications
  • Complete assigned paperwork
  • Maintain quality standards through visual and mechanical inspections
  • Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with safety procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or GED
  • At least three years of experience as a technician in the crane business
  • Ability to interface with all levels of staff
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to multitask while completing work in a competent and professional manner
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 90% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and on-call duty
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
