About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, including all-terrain mobile cranes and crawler cranes
- Repair crane components
- Apply electrical theory to test and modify electrical machinery, control equipment, and circuitry
- Apply mechanical theory to test and modify machinery and equipment
- Operate mechanical boom and cable equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate repairs
- Test repaired or modified mechanical products and equipment for performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
- Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
- Read and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Overhaul and test machines or equipment for operating efficiency
- Diagnose malfunctions using handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges
- Inspect parts, dimensions, and clearances for conformance to factory specifications
- Complete assigned paperwork
- Maintain quality standards through visual and mechanical inspections
- Follow safety procedures and promote a safe work environment
- Handle and dispose of hazardous waste
- Maintain punctuality, professional demeanor, clean work areas, respectful communication, and compliance with company programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate or GED and at least one year of experience with heavy equipment or machinery, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage, and complete projects in individual and group settings
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency in PC-based word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to multitask while completing work in a competent and professional manner
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, or on-call duty
