About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters
- Respond to HR queries promptly, professionally, and confidentially
- Build effective working relationships with managers and provide practical HR support and solutions
- Support employee absence management, sickness absence cases, return-to-work processes, and absence reduction initiatives
- Assist with day-to-day HR activities
- Support recruitment activities and hiring processes, including cover for the Talent Acquisition Adviser when necessary
- Act as a key user of the HRIS and LMS
- Maintain data accuracy, system integrity, and appropriate user access controls
- Provide support, guidance, and training to HR system users
- Work with IT teams and external suppliers to resolve issues and implement improvements
- Support HR projects, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with system testing, upgrades, and implementation of new functionality
- Audit HR data, systems, and processes for accuracy, compliance, and data quality
- Produce standard and ad hoc reports for HR and management teams
- Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, reporting, and user experience
- Coordinate and administer virtual and face-to-face training activities
- Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate training records
- Support onboarding and learning and development programmes
- Evaluate training effectiveness and report on learning outcomes and compliance
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and relevant data protection and information security requirements
- Support internal and external audits relating to HR data, learning records, and HR systems
- Maintain audit trails documenting system issues, incidents, change requests, and resolutions
- Validate data across HR systems, workflows, and reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Demonstrable experience working with HR systems, processes, and procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate employee records and support system-driven HR activities
- Sound understanding of data protection legislation, including GDPR
- Best practice in secure handling, storage, and management of sensitive personal data
- Proven experience dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity
- Strong administrative, organisational, analytical, and reporting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
