About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive approach to the cost-optimized series production of a new product at the target manufacturing site
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve manufacturing costs and collaborate on their interdisciplinary implementation
  • Manage and coordinate project-specific manufacturing activities throughout all planning stages (prototype, pre-series, and series assembly)
  • Verify and implement suitable manufacturing processes, methods, and procedures
  • Assess and evaluate anticipated assembly and testing risks and define appropriate countermeasures
  • Determine and establish process parameters, including the preparation and maintenance of production documentation
  • Prepare make-or-buy decisions
  • Identify, plan, and implement changes and improvements in series production on schedule
  • Monitor projected and actual manufacturing costs and required investments
  • Develop, produce, and support HVAC and hydraulic systems for rail vehicles, as well as cooling systems for temperature-sensitive transported goods

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional and project experience in industrialization
  • Knowledge of relevant methods, such as Lean Production, Design for Assembly, and FMEA
  • Experience working with CAD systems (SolidWorks) and ERP systems
  • Excellent technical and analytical understanding, with sound knowledge of production operations and processes
  • Basic knowledge of REFA and MTM methods
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and strong communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation to initiate and implement improvements and achieve company objectives
  • Structured, data-driven, and methodical approach to work
  • Strong solution-oriented mindset, resilience, and assertiveness
  • Very good command of German and English
