About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of established mining customers with existing Liebherr equipment
- Act as the primary commercial contact and build strong long-term customer relationships
- Develop strategic account plans covering customer priorities, fleet requirements, replacement cycles and growth opportunities
- Develop new business across Queensland mining companies, contractors and projects
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified equipment opportunities
- Identify opportunities and position Liebherr in customer fleet planning, replacement and project development discussions
- Prepare and lead quotations, tenders, commercial proposals and contract reviews
- Negotiate opportunities through to successful award
- Maintain market intelligence on customers, projects, competitors and future equipment requirements
- Support forecasting and business planning
- Collaborate with Customer Support, Operations and internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues and deliver outcomes across the equipment lifecycle
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in key account management, business development, sales or customer relationship management within the mining, resources, heavy industry or OEM sectors
- Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing quotations, tenders, proposals and negotiating commercial agreements
- Ability to identify customer needs, develop strategic account plans, and drive revenue growth through new business opportunities
- Well-developed analytical skills, including market analysis, forecasting, financial evaluation, and interpretation of customer and industry data
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build productive relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Marketing or a related discipline are desirable
- Equivalent industry experience will also be highly regarded
