Key responsibilities & impact

Develop project proposals and plans, including timelines, budgets, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation
Work with Functional Managers to address technical issues and ensure timely engineering releases
Establish work plans and staffing for project phases
Recruit or assign project personnel
Ensure compliance with product specifications, standards, and legal regulations
Assign project duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
Oversee and coordinate project activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Track project progress and manage risks, including mitigation activities
Prepare reports for management and clients
Coordinate project activities with government agencies
Provide technical advice and resolve issues with project personnel
Collaborate with external Liebherr companies
Apply project management methods, procedures, and tools
Contribute to the project portfolio according to company strategy
Manage moderately complex, strategic, and Tier 0 projects involving high-level stakeholders across multiple continents and cultures
Lead stakeholder interactions and serve as a company and division reference
Create project portfolios within defined programs
Coordinate several projects within a program and centralize information
Functionally lead program teams composed of other project managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or a related field
Project Manager Level 2: 2 to 4 years of project management experience
Project Manager Level 3: 2 to 4 years of project management experience in the mining industry and 5 to 8 years of project management experience overall
Experience with projects spanning multiple business units, continents, and time zones
PMP Certification or international equivalent is required for Project Manager Level 3
Experience in an engineering environment is preferred but not required for Project Manager Level 2
PMP Certification or international equivalent is highly desired but not required for Project Manager Level 2
