About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Liebherr sales personnel and local dealers in the assigned region
  • Provide support documentation, calculations, and technical data
  • Clarify and explain technical details
  • Coordinate with and follow up with factory in-house departments
  • Collect and distribute mining equipment key performance data
  • Provide equipment availability and production slots
  • Raise intercompany quotations and follow up on delivery planning
  • Verify purchase orders against specifications, pricing, delivery, and other terms
  • Provide Life Cycle and O&O cost calculations
  • Communicate and follow up on promised or guaranteed delivery dates
  • Clarify customer requirements and understand sales-cycle phases
  • Arrange factory visits and presentations for end customers
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive information, and political factors
  • Ensure product specifications match the application
  • Provide data to Sales Administration for invoicing
  • Ensure affiliate establishment of LIAS offers
  • Capture projects, accounts, opportunities, contacts, and activities in CRM
  • Develop and coordinate business relationships with affiliates
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings and industry events
  • Promote a safe work environment and established safety procedures
  • Demonstrate cost consciousness and integrity

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Education and experience equivalent to a degree in a related technical area, such as Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering, or a degree in Business Administration
  • 1 year of experience in the mining equipment industry
  • Experience in a Sales and/or Sales Support role in the mining equipment industry preferred
  • International travel to customer or supplier sites up to 40% of the time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) certification
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
