About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build, and implement data-driven business intelligence solutions
- Design the data foundation, including pipelines, models, and data sources
- Connect SAP, Shopify, and other SaaS tools
- Develop accurate, fast reports, dashboards, and analyses
- Troubleshoot broken reports and production issues across current and future reporting environments
- Answer data questions and support reporting environments
- Enable business self-service analytics with appropriate data, guardrails, and governance
- Ensure data quality, security, protection of sensitive data, and documented lineage
- Reconcile data to systems of record
- Partner with leaders to set the BI roadmap and recommend tools, patterns, and investments
- Use AI to accelerate SQL, modeling, and data exploration while verifying logic
- Identify patterns in data, usage, and reporting requests
- Turn analysis into actionable stories for leaders
- Strengthen the IT team through knowledge sharing and collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience using business intelligence tools to turn raw data into decisions
- Solid, hands-on experience with Power BI (required)
- Solid, hands-on experience with Snowflake (required)
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Rivery and Fivetran
- Hands-on SQL writing, data modeling, and pipeline development
- Experience extracting data from SAP, ECC, or S/4HANA; S/4 experience is a strong plus
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools is a plus
- Experience with Shopify or marketing and social platforms is a plus
- Snowflake or Power BI certification is a plus
- Ability to define BI strategy and build and implement solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear communication with non-BI stakeholders
- Understanding of data security and privacy
- Curiosity, optimism, and interest in business questions
- Ability to give and receive feedback thoughtfully and constructively
