About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Continue developing Life Unlimited’s Remote Support Services
- Provide oversight and support to Remote Support DSPs
- Coordinate services with the Intake Department for new individuals entering Community Living
- Cover Program Manager vacancies and operate homes until a new Program Manager is hired and trained
- Monitor remote support systems and sensor alerts
- Provide 1:1 remote support coaching when requested or directed by support plans
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Directors to develop service quality and efficiency action plans
- Lead Person-Centered Planning for assigned caseloads
- Advocate for individuals’ interests, hopes, and dreams in ISPs and addenda
- Participate in team meetings and ensure decisions are supported by data
- Train program teams on ISPs, goals, crisis plans, and behavioral support plans
- Create and implement ISP goals using the LU Meaningful Day Curriculum
- Oversee timely and compliant electronic documentation
- Create files and electronic records for new residents
- Coordinate medical appointments and documentation with Intake and Health teams
- Complete monthly progress summaries for Service Coordinators
- Review shift notes weekly
- Provide passive remote support for up to 16 individuals at a time per DSP caseload
- Support new residential locations, including site development, roommate matching, and individual budget creation
- Coordinate recruiting and training to ensure adequate staffing before openings
- Train new team members and Program Managers on home operations
- Ensure staff training and home preparation are completed within 90 days of opening
- Conduct weekly quality-assurance visits, financial audits, staff training, and face-to-face visits until transition
- Complete ISL budgets, staffing patterns, and staffing-variance reports
- Train new Program Managers on budgets, payroll schedules, staffing ratios, and service-level changes
- Oversee finance accounts, ledgers, receipts, paystubs, and NAFS funds
- Ensure programs are adequately staffed and team members are trained and supported
- Provide 24-hour on-call support to Program Managers and Team Supervisors
- Work a direct-care shift at least six times per year and at least once annually in each assigned home
- Support house and staff meeting facilitation, new-hire training, performance feedback, corrective action, and payroll approval
- Partner with Human Resources to reduce overtime and turnover
- Maintain communication with individuals, families, guardians, funders, referral agencies, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct quarterly guardian/important-person quality and satisfaction checks
- Document and resolve concerns in a timely manner
- Protect the rights and dignity of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and report abuse, neglect, exploitation, or human-rights violations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in a position-related field or 5 years’ experience in developmental disability services, preferably with supervisory experience
- Must obtain and maintain training and certification in required areas such as Abuse/Neglect, CPR, First Aid, Level I Medication Administration, Positive Behavior Supports, Mandt and Crisis Intervention
- Background in development, implementation, and writing of teaching strategies preferred
- Reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
- Must obtain a Class E driver’s license during new hire orientation
- Must carry minimum auto insurance coverage applicable by law
- Must receive seasonal flu vaccination
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively use computers or mobile devices to input, access, modify, and output information

- Willingness to work within a 24-hour support system
