About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Live out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing commitment to Kingdom work
  • Strategize, build, and launch end-to-end email and SMS campaigns from concept through deployment
  • Ensure on-brand execution, regulatory compliance, and consistent list hygiene
  • Develop and maintain responsive email templates using HTML and CSS
  • Create mobile-friendly, dynamic designs that support advanced audience segmentation
  • Monitor and analyze open rates, click-through rates, and opt-out rates
  • Implement A/B testing across subject lines, messaging, and layouts
  • Build and maintain audience segments based on subscriber behavior and demographics
  • Serve as the primary contact for email and SMS campaign needs
  • Partner with content, design, and marketing teams to align messaging with organizational goals
  • Manage campaign timelines, assets, and cross-functional deliverables to hit milestones and KPIs
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, platform updates, and industry best practices
  • Support direct mail integration, social media integrations, and data management efforts
  • Travel 2–4 times per year, typically overnight, for team gatherings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, required
  • 5+ years of experience managing email and SMS marketing campaigns using enterprise platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Attentive
  • Ability to travel to the Middle Tennessee area 2–4 times annually for team gatherings
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS for building and troubleshooting responsive, mobile-friendly email templates
  • Strong audience segmentation and data analysis skills using subscriber behavior and demographics
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute A/B tests and interpret results
  • Proven project management skills coordinating multi-layered campaigns across cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to senior-level stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and GDPR
  • Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church
  • Preferred: experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud advanced features including Journey Builder, Data Extensions, AMPscript, and Marketing Cloud Connect
  • Preferred: familiarity with analytics and reporting tools, marketing automation platforms, and testing technologies
  • Preferred: exposure to JavaScript for advanced campaign development and dynamic content
  • Preferred: experience managing direct mail and social media platform integrations
