About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform preventative maintenance on VLTs, ETGs, and related equipment
  • Ensure proper operation of VLTs and ETGs through diagnostic tests, software settings, and functional testing
  • Navigate the Management Terminal daily to verify VLT status
  • Assemble and prepare accessories for installations where applicable
  • Complete accurate Incident Reports according to Gaming Commission and company standards
  • Complete required maintenance records clearly and precisely
  • Complete detailed daily and weekly technician logs
  • Adhere to Light & Wonder Field Service standards, policies, and procedures
  • Follow safety procedures for vehicle safety, loading games, ladder use, and electricity
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe, proper working condition
  • Stay current with Field Advisories and eLearning
  • Review customer issues with management and technical leads
  • Work customer-facing Friday through Tuesday, with Wednesday and Thursday off for the stated first shift
  • Travel to other facilities within the department as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required
  • One year experience in the assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months experience and related gaming school certificate of completion, or equivalent
  • Basic troubleshooting techniques down to an assembly level
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices
  • Basic understanding of network communication and network troubleshooting
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances
  • Ability to transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices
  • Safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools
  • Basic knowledge of PC operation and security risks relating to PC operation
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals
  • Able to prepare conversion projects or installations with limited or no supervision
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations
  • Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to work assigned 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
  • Travel may be required to other facilities within the department
