About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build understanding of customer use cases, Lightcast data products, platform integrations, and customer data consumption and sharing
Support backlog management by translating requirements into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Help engineering teams deliver roadmap commitments
Support data contracts, including schemas, versioning, deprecation processes, and customer migration paths
Monitor data quality, including freshness, null values, and duplicates
Help resolve reliability issues affecting customers
Support product launches through changelogs, migration notes, documentation, and internal enablement
Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis (RCA)
Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Legal, Security, and GTM teams
Support product execution, data platform operations, governance, and launches to ensure data is reliable, compliant, and accessible

Requirements

What you’ll need

1–2 years of experience in product, data, analytics, or a related field
Exposure to modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery, including sharing models, permissions, or listings
SQL and modern data concepts
Familiarity with data quality, governance, and security concepts
Experience with agile methodologies, backlog management, and roadmap execution
Strong technical writing skills, including experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Data, Legal, Security, and GTM teams
Interest in building reliable, user-friendly data products and developing technical product management expertise
Must live and work in a state where Lightcast is authorized to operate; the role excludes Alaska, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
