About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write original, human-authored text samples in Kannada across relevant subject domains
- Follow a provided prompt after the domain of expertise is identified
- Produce entirely original content without AI tools, translation tools, or copied material
- Provide written attestation that submissions are original
- Keep submitted content confidential and do not publish it elsewhere
- Contribute to LILT’s language data and AI evaluation initiatives
- Support development of multilingual Terminal-Bench tasks evaluating large language models
- Complete onboarding and profile setup to become eligible for Applied AI projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Native-level fluency and strong writing skills in Kannada
- Demonstrable subject-matter expertise in one or more domains, such as law, business, biography, religion, philosophy, or poetry
- Prior writing experience preferred, including professional, academic, or published work
- Strong command of style, tone, and structure appropriate to the chosen domain
- Comfortable working independently from a prompt with minimal creative guidance
- Strict adherence to originality and confidentiality requirements
- Must submit an updated CV in English
- Must complete a GenAI assessment
- Reliable availability and commitment required
- Most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week
- Must comply with geographic restrictions and applicable sanctions or embargoes
- Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations
- Must attest in writing to the originality of submissions
- Must not use AI tools, translation tools, or copied material
- Must agree not to publish submitted content elsewhere
