About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently manage moderate to large-scale construction and capital improvement projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, clients, and stakeholders
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
  • Provide regular status reporting to clients and leadership
  • Select and manage architects, engineers, consultants, and general contractors
  • Review and negotiate contracts, bids, and change orders
  • Oversee construction document review, permitting, and AHJ approval processes
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance
  • Manage pay applications, invoicing, and project accounting
  • Identify and resolve project risks and issues, escalating to leadership as needed
  • Lead project closeout, including punch lists, commissioning, warranties, and as-built documentation
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction and/or tenant improvement projects
  • Demonstrated track record delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgets, schedules, and building codes
  • Proven vendor and contractor management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods, including walking unfinished construction sites and uneven surfaces
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
  • Tolerance of loud noises, airborne dust, chemicals, fumes, and inclement weather
  • Successful completion of a background investigation may be required
  • Compliance with applicable health and safety requirements, including PPE or site-specific safety protocols where applicable
